In our Lower School Science Lab, 5th graders tested for the presence of starch in different foods. This lab reinforced a lesson on photosynthesis and showed the real-life effects of the process. Students learned that plants store extra glucose in the form of starch. What a unique way to interact with scientific principles in the classroom!
