Harriet Renner
Director of Community Relations

As Director of Development, Harriet Renner has the opportunity to be in the neighboring communities, bringing others to see our beautiful campus. She previously worked with the Tyler independent school system for eighteen years, teaching second grade at Rice Elementary for thirteen years. She also taught 7th and 8th grade computer literacy at Moore MST Magnet Middle School for five years. Prior to moving to Tyler, Ms. Renner taught in the Highland Park school system in Dallas. She graduated from the University of Arkansas, with a B.S. in Education and has a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Texas at Tyler. Her second Masters in Education was completed in Administration from Texas A. & M.-Texarkana, through the Sid Richardson Leadership Academy. Ms. Renner has been an officer in two educational organizations: Alpha Delta Kappa and Delta Kappa Gamma, where she received two state scholarships and is also a member of the Pi Beta Phi alumnae group. She is active in her church, Green Acres Baptist Church, singing in the Celebration Choir and has been in various Bible study groups in our community.

Ms. Renner enjoys spending time with her four grown children and grandchildren. Her hobbies include the game Mah Jongg, working in her yard with plants and flowers, and swimming daily in water aerobic classes at a local hospital exercise facility.
