Kent Travis

Kent Travis holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Master of Humanities from the University of Dallas.
Mr. Travis came to Brook Hill in the fall of 2001, lured by the vision and the possibilities of what could be done in East Texas, just south of Tyler. Prior to his move to Brook Hill and his focus on the humanities, he taught such courses as Life Science, Biology, Earth Science, Government, American Literature and British Literature at Veritas Classical Christian School in Texarkana, Arkansas.
Mr. Travis is married to Jacki, his wife of twelve years. They have four young girls. Jacki spends her time loving the girls and running her Southern Living at Home business. The family serves and worships at Fifth Street Presbyterian Church in Tyler, where Kent is acting youth group leader.
Mr. Travis’s interests include longboarding, disc golf, volleyball, and writing. He is author of Soil and Seed: Episodes from the Life of Abraham, which is a poetic retelling of the life of Abraham.
