Brook Hill Participates in the “Teal Pumpkin Project”

Pumpkin-1

For this year’s annual Fall Festival, Brook Hill will be participating in the “The Teal Pumpkin Project.” The goal of the Teal Pumpkin Project is to raise awareness about food allergies during the Halloween season. This project will help make the Fall Festival and “Trunk or Treat” more fun for kids who have food allergies. Many of the typical candies given out have allergens in them or have been produced in a factory that is not allergen free. So during this year’s festival, wherever kids see a Teal Pumpkin, there will be non-food items available as treats, such as bouncy balls, glow sticks, tiny erasers, etc. The Teal Pumpkin Project was originally designed for giving out treats at home but Brook Hill is going to apply the same principles to the Fall Festival/Trunk or Treat night as well as class parties for Lower School so that everyone can have a fun-filled and memorable time!
