8th Grade College Trip

Eighth graders took a trip to Nacogdoches this week to tour Stephen F. Austin State University. Jack Walkers (tour guide) talked with students and showed them Lumber Jack Landing ( a freshman dorm), the Library and its’ Academic Support Center, the Recreation Facility, and the many different buildings that house classrooms for each specific major. Students ate lunch on campus in the Student Center enjoying the Book Store and yes, of course, Starbucks. The Director of the Student Center did a double take when he saw all of the “orange” on campus being that Sam Houston State University is a huge, major, big time SFA rival. After we explained he totally understood that Brook Hill has to be ALL ORANGE!DSC06750 DSC06752 DSC06760 DSC06764 DSC06765
