Fifth Grade Olympics

Mrs. Bickerstaff’s bunch held their own Olympics during the last two weeks.

They discussed the motto of the Olympics – how winning or losing is not the most important thing but the effort and challenge involved is.

They then chose one school subject they felt strong in and one they wanted to challenge themselves with. After keeping track of scores for two weeks, the results are in. Several students went home with two medals proving they can succeed even in difficult areas of study. Hopefully they will remember the next time they are challenged they have what it takes to excel and develop their skills! Maybe we will see these students one day on the real Olympic fields of challenge!
