Guard Junior Scholars Set School Records at the 2017 PSIA District Academic Meet

PSIA District competition for grades 1-8 began early Friday, March 24, 2017. Students from 13 schools began to trickle in around 7:30. Students checked in with their school and then the hunt for rivals was on. They met and talked like old friends. But with a wish of “Good Luck” everyone was back on task…Win!
Fifty six students represented The Brook Hill School in 87 events this year. Thirteen schools with over 500 students provided plenty of competition. In order to advance to State in Arlington, you must win 1st or 2nd place in your event. 3rd place makes you the state alternate. Brook Hill will be represented in Arlington by 11 State Qualifiers!
The Brook Hill School team took 3rd Place Overall in District.

“Like I said, they are unbelievable,” Robin Bynum, Academic Teams Director, said. “If you see these skilled competitors this week, give them a warrior’s welcome for a job well done.”
