Brook Hill fell behind early on against Joaquin and did not recover in an eventual 50-29 loss Tuesday at Herrington Gym.

Junior Mia Martinico led the Lady Guard with 10 points and four steals while senior Jordon Phillips also had four steals in the loss.

The Lady Guard were outscored 14-6 in the first quarter and trailed 26-13 at halftime.

The Lady Guard drop to 1-2 with the loss and will next be on the floor at 5:30 p.m. Friday at the Union Grove Tournament.
