TYLER — Brook Hill rocked Tyler Bishop Gorman for six extra-base hits in a 15-0 win Tuesday at Gorman School.

The game was called after the top of the fourth inning because of the 15-run rule.

The Lady Guard moved to 10-3-1 overall and 2-0 in TAPPS District 2-4A.

Taylor Schultz allowed only one hit with two walks and six strikeouts to get the victory in the circle.

Brook Hill’s Alyssa Duplichain and AD Kuechle both  finished 3 for 4 with three RBIs with Schultz (2 for 4) and Morgan Moss (1 for 3) driving in two runs apiece.

The Lady Guard had six players score two or more runs, led by Duplichain, who crossed home plate three times. Maddie Anthony, Maddie Parker, Schultz, Kuechle and Lexi Crenshaw scored two runs apiece.

Brook Hill also had nine stolen bases with Duplichain (2), Kaitlyn Juarez (2), Parker (2), Crenshaw, Anthony and Moss all getting into the act.

Brook Hill started quickly, scoring six runs in the top of the first inning. Anthony and Parker singled and came home on a two-run triple from Schultz for a 2-0 lead. Kuechle followed with a single to score Schultz before she trotted home on a triple by Duplichain to make it 4-0.

The Lady Guard then recorded their first out, but it was quickly followed by a double from Morgan Moss to score Duplichain. Moss stole third and eventually scored on a passed ball for the 6-0 score heading into the bottom of the first.

Brook Hill added a couple more runs in the second when Parker delivering a leadoff single and eventually stealing home, Duplichain singling with two outs followed by Lexi Crenshaw being hit by a pitch and both eventually scoring on passed balls.

The Lady Guard continued to have success, putting an exclamation point on things with a five-run fourth inning. It was a hit parade highlighted by doubles from Kuechle, Duplichain and Crenshaw.

Brook Hill next goes on the road to face Frisco Legacy Christian on Thursday.
