Lady Guard take care of Tyler Cumberland Academy, 60-11

Led by 15 points from AD Kuechle and 11 apiece from Brianna Young and Laruen Eden, Brook Hill built a 14-5 lead over Tyler Cumberland Academy and never looked back, winning 60-11 on Friday to even its record to 1-1 on the season.

The Lady Guard held Cumberland scoreless in the second quarter to hold a 24-5 lead at halftime. Brook Hill outscored Cumberland 36-6 in the second half.

Brook Hill combined for 20 steals, led by Lauren Eden, who finished with five takeaways.

The result could have been even larger if not for Brook Hill going 8 of 22 from the free-throw line.

The Lady Guard next face Winona on Tuesday at home with the JV game slated for 5 p.m. and the varsity to follow at Herrington Gym.
