From the desk of Ginger Bell, Director of Family and Alumni Relations: Have you heard about our Moms in Prayer program?  Thursday mornings after drop off, you are invited to join other mothers at the log cabin to pray for our community.  Stacy Sims is now leading our prayer time and we begin at 8:30.  This time has been such a blessing for me these last few years and I’m sure you will be blessed, as well.  There is no pressure for you to pray out loud, if that is not something with which you are comfortable, but there is such a peace that comes from praying together as our Father directs.  Please feel free to just show up next Thursday, if time allows, and find out more about this very special opportunity at Brook Hill.

Along those same lines, I need to share a prayer praise with you.  Our sweet Kyla Cardin is home!  You may remember we have been praying for her since her horrible car accident in North Carolina during Spring Break.  She still has quite a journey in front of her, but as you can see from her picture, she is progressing well.  I was pleased she agreed to let me share her photograph since she is quite self-conscious about the chair.  Due to her severe injuries, she will be confined to that chair for 5-6 months, so I told her to just get over it!  We are thrilled she’s home with us and sharing her sweet smile!  They are desperately seeking a pediatric neurologist to continue treatment now that she is home, so if you know of someone you could recommend, please do share that.  Kyla’s pediatrician in Tyler is also working on their behalf to get all the necessary therapies lined up.  Kyla’s grandparents and family are so grateful for the prayers and variety of other support they have received during this trying time.  Their gratitude is palpable when you speak with them.  Thank you, Brook Hill family, for your precious support for each other.
