Since we believe that the Holy Bible is the divinely inspired record of God’s revelation of Himself to man and contains absolute truth and is the perfect standard by which all knowledge and conduct should be measured, lower school scholars at The Brook Hill School study God’s word on several levels. They will learn to seek knowledge, understanding, and wisdom from The Book on their own. At the most foundational levels, students memorize scripture from meaningful individual verses to important longer passages. They will also gain knowledge of the history, organization, and truths found in scripture. On a higher level, students will recognize opportunities to discern right from wrong as they apply scriptural principals to life decisions, both small and grand, and learn to search scriptures to discover God’s answer to life’s choices. On a still higher level, students will be encouraged to allow the Holy Spirit to work in their lives and to live by faith as they conform to the image of Christ and, above all, seek God’s wisdom.
