The Essay event requires students to choose one of three prompts provided and write an essay based on the novel, Hook’s Revenge, by Heidi Schultz.

The third category is Language Arts/Social Studies. The 25 language questions required a student to read and answer questions based on an original reading passage. The Social Science questions addressed concepts from Explorers, Pirates and Privateers Resource Guide.

All scores have been turned in to the Texas Academic Decathlon state office. Lone Star Challenge is a state competition. Over 100 schools will compete. All scores are due today.
