Next Year…

RodFletcherPortraits(TA)-11

From the desk of Rod Fletcher, Headmaster:

As the school year winds down we inevitability begin to think about next year – at least I do.  And when I think about the next school year I think about next year’s seniors – the rising Junior Class.  I know that so many aspects of the year are based upon the leadership of the senior class – they always play an instrumental role in determining the “culture” of the school.

I am excited about next year and the Class of 2017.  The Class of 2017 is diverse, talented and strong. They have the potential to lead well.  On the recent Junior Retreat I was incredibly encouraged because I saw a mature group of young men and women who love their school and are embracing the opportunity to lead.  During the retreat I had the opportunity to speak to them as a group and challenge them to take the role of “senior leader” seriously.  I challenged them to be a senior class that was unselfish, principled, sought significance, got involved, made decisions with the end in mind, and realized that attending Brook Hill was both a privilege and responsibility.  As we wrap up the 2015-2016 school year I am already getting excited about next year – we have a great senior class coming up and I am confident that they will lead well.
