Offensive struggles hurt Lady Guard in loss to Crockett

CROCKETT — Brook Hill started slowly and never recovered in an eventual double-digit loss to Crockett on Friday in a non-district test against the UIL Class 3A school.

The Lady Guard trailed 21-1 at the end of the first quarter.

“Our cold shooting proved too much to overcome (against Crockett), Brook Hill coach Ivan Johnson said about the loss.

The Lady Guard shot 13 percent from the floor. Brook Hill did make 2 of 9 from 3-point range and went 4 of 6 from free-throw line.

Brook Hill is back in action Tuesday on the road at Frisco Legacy Christian. Tip off is scheduled for 4 p.m. for junior varsity with the varsity to follow.
