The Guard will be led in the midfield by Josh White, Kenai Walker, Cory Scheel, and Clay Wells. Up front, leading scorer Gordon Chang and sophomore Slaton Hierholzer shouild provide a potent attack for the Guard as back to back runs at the Final Four is the goal of this years squad. |

Brook Hill falls in Semi Finals
The Brook Hill Guard soccer team fell short in their bid to win the 2009 state championship. They were defeated in the state semi final by Carrollton Prince of Peace 5-0. The Guard had a great season, finishing with a record of 9-6-2, capped off with an incredible run as the went 7-2-2 in their last 11 games. "I am so proud of what these guys accomplished this season. They showed up everyday committed to what we were doing and to each other. That committment and their hard work paid off and turned a good season into something special" says coach David Collins. With only one senior graduating there is alot of excitement building in the Brook Hill soccer community as they look forward to more great seasons to come. |

Soccer season 2008-2009
Brook Hill soccer had another good showing in 2007-2008. The Guard qualified for the state playoffs for the 9th time in the 10 year history of the program, and the 2008-2009 Guard will look to continue that success. Brook Hill will return 6 starters from last years team as they look to continue their success in 2008-2009. Defensively the Guard return Brian Park, Wesley Wood, and Austin Bell, in the midfield Kyle Taylor is back and the Guard will get center midfielder Martin Markovski back from his knee injury, and in the front Josh White returns as the Guards second leading scorer last season. Preston Swink, who was a defender for the Guard last year, will make the transition to Goalkeeper for this season. This seasons team will be a young group. There is a large group of juniors and freshman on this years team that we will not have any seniors. It is a great opportunity to develop our players and look to continue to build our program. |
