Brook Hill’s Kasey Anderson produced no-hit innings in a 12-0 non-district varsity softball win over La Rue La Poynor on Tuesday .

Anderson struck out 12 with only one runner reaching on an error in the first to deny her a perfect game.

The Lady Guard (14-7) scored five runs in the first inning and continued to add to their lead in every frame afterward. Micah Lovelady finished with a double and three RBIs, Alyssa Duplichain doubled and scored three runs and Anderson helped herself with two hits and three runs scored.

Maddie Anthony led off the first with a single and went to second on a single from Anderson. An error allowed Anthony to score with Duplichain taking care of driving home Anderson with an RBI double to center field. A.D. Kuechle singled to score Duplichain and make it 3-0.

The Lady Guard weren’t finished with Lovelady singling home Kuechle. She later stole third base and scored on an error for the 5-0 lead.

Brook Hill added two more runs to its tally in the second with Anderson coming home on an error and Duplichain scoring on a fielder’s choice RBI groundout from Kyndel Clayton.

The Lady Guard made it 11-0 in the third when Anderson singled and scored on an error, Lovelady plated Duplichain with a double and Clayton drove in Kuechle with a groundout.

Just for good measure, Brook Hill scored one more run in the bottom of the fourth with Vanna Dean coming home on an RBI groundout by Anderson.
