A.D. Kuechle doubled, tripled and drove in four runs with Alyssa Duplichain also tripling twice as Brook Hill varsity overpowered Tyler Grace Community with five triples overall in a 17-1 win Tuesday in their TAPPS Division II District 3 game at Schwab Field.

The win raises Brook Hill’s record to 13-7 and makes the Lady Guard 2-0 in league play with a game against Tyler Bishop Gorman scheduled for Thursday at Schwab Field.

Kasey Anderson pitched three innings, allowing one run on one hit with seven strikeouts to get the victory. Kyndel Clayton pitched one inning of scoreless relief with two walks and two strikeouts.

Kaitlyn Juarez also drove in three runs for the Lady Guard, which trailed 3-0 entering the bottom of the first before scoring eight runs to take the lead and control.

Alyssa Duplichain tied the game with an RBI triple that scored Maddie Anthony, who had walked. BH put more runs on the board thanks to errors, passed balls and miscues by Grace. Leading 6-1, Anthony singled home Natalie Travis with Anthony later scoring off an error to make it 8-1.

In the second inning, Micah Lovelady delivered a three bagger to score Duplichain, who had led off with a triple. Clayton followed with an RBI single to score Lovelady and increase the Lady Guard lead to 10-1 entering the third.

Kuechle added two more runs to that in the third with a two-out 2-run triple that scored Anthony and Duplichain.

The hits and runs kept coming in the bottom of the fourth with Clayton leading off with a walk and eventually scoring on a wild pitch, followed by an RBI triple by Anthony to score Vanna Dean. Kasey Anderson then singled home Anthony. Duplichain singled to put two runners on for Kuechle, who brought both home with a two-run double and 17-1 score.
