VOLLEYBALL HOSTS SHELTON; LOOKS TO MAKE PLAYOFF RUN

The Brook Hill Lady Guard Volleyball Team, currently 5-3 in District action, play host to Dallas Shelton in a crucial league match.  For the Lady Guard to qualify for another appearance in the TAPPS State Playoffs, the contests against Shelton today and at home against All Saints on the 15th are must wins.

Head Coach Amanda Reed has molded her young team into a playoff contender despite injuries to Abigail Baker and inexperience .  Brook Hill will rely heavily on stellar play from M.C. Seldon, Erica Eden, Bailey Rozelle, Carly Howard, Amy Jo Teague, Sarah Mullicane and Alyssa Eden  to qualify for the state event.

After a 3 game sweep over Garland Christian on Tuesday, the Blue and Orange appear ready to tackle their next two opponents.

"We have been working on our hitting, covering our areas defensively, and playing as a team"  Coach Reed noted.

"I am proud of the way the ladies have responded to me and what we are trying to accomplish.  If we play hard and stay focused, we have a chance to advance into the playoffs and make some waves.

District play ends next Thursday.  The Lady Guard will then await their fate for post season play.
