Ila England is the library media specialist at the Lower School. She holds a B.A. in Anthropology from The University of Texas at Austin, an Elementary Teaching Certification from Western Washington State University, M.Ed. from The University of Texas at Tyler, and is a Certified Library Media Specialist.

Before coming to Brook Hill, she spent 14 years year as the Library Media Specialist at Clarkston Elementary in Tyler and 13 years as a first and third grade teacher. Mrs. England was named the Tyler I.S.D. Elementary Teacher of the Year in 1996-97 and has been a recipient of numerous grants. Her hobbies include gardening, reading, singing, traveling and theater. She has a wonderful supportive husband, Jerry, two loving daughters, Jessie and Sara, and is a proud grandmother of twin girls, Fluer and Nina, and grandson Owen.
