Coach Watley joined the Brook Hill family in 2022 with more than 12 years of experience serving students and athletes at the secondary and collegiate levels. In addition to athletics and academics, he has helped many students personally and spiritually as a licensed and ordained pastor in various ministry positions.

After serving in two military campaigns in the United States Navy, Coach Watley earned degrees from Liberty University and Belhaven University. He and his wife, Holly, have been married for 15 years and have six sons – Leland III, Laydan, Landis, Levi, Lache, and Levin.
