Fourth graders have been learning about the physical properties of matter. They measured length, volume and mass of different kinds of matter, and learned to use the appropriate tools and measurements for each. The physics class’s goal was to build a capsule that will render the egg unbreakable. This lab explores impulse and momentum. Two groups successfully provided a safe landing for their egg while one resulted in a more “scrambled” fashion!
