During Life Skills class, the sixth grade came to the library for a “Get-to-Know the library tour”. Mrs. Hays showed the students how to log onto the library catalog and find a book. She also showed them resources they have available to them through the library website. The students visited the second floor and Mrs. Hays explained where the Fiction and Non-fiction areas are located. After the tour, they sat at tables and discussed other facets of the library. Before the students left, they were grouped together into groups of four and did a scavenger hunt on paper about the library. Many of the students have come back to visit the library and check out books and make use of the computer.
