The Brook Hill School, serving students in grades PreK-12, is a vibrant, independent Christian Day/Boarding school on a beautiful 250-acre rural campus just south of Tyler, TX and 1½ hours east of Dallas, TX.

Brook Hill’s mission is “to provide excellence in college preparatory education, affirm the gifts and challenge the potential of each student, and encourage students to honor God through Christ-like character.” Day and boarding students attend from the local Tyler area and around the USA, as well as Macedonia, Angola, China, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Japan, Spain, Sweden, Mexico, South Africa, Germany, and Vietnam. Accredited through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), Brook Hill is also affiliated with the Association of Christian Schools International, the College Board, and National and Texas Associations of College Admission Counselors. The faculty, with over 60% holding a master’s degree or higher, are committed to training students to be confident in both their faith and their education.

A Brook Hill education prepares students to read insightfully, think critically, solve problems logically, and communicate effectively within the framework of a Biblical worldview. Brook Hill students are encouraged to discuss ideas with genuine intellectual inquiry and Christian charity. A Brook Hill foundation equips them to make good decisions, grounded in the faith; to face the challenges of the real world, without being sheltered from them; and to impact others for God’s glory.

At Brook Hill extra-curricular and co-curricular programs are an integral part of the educational experience. Competitive fine arts and athletic options include visual art, drum line, choir, drama, and string orchestra alongside football, soccer, volleyball, cross-country, basketball, golf, tennis, cheerleading, baseball, softball, and track.

Our History

What began in the early 1990’s as one man’s dream is today a reality: a vibrant, independent Christian Day/Boarding school with a three-fold mission that permeates every aspect of a Brook Hill education, Education, Potential and Character. The doors were opened in the fall of 1997 with 31 students in grades six, seven, and eight. Grade levels were added until reaching a full complement of grades PreK through Twelve in the fall of 2005.

An international/domestic boarding program was established in the summer of 2003, and Brook Hill has now hosted students from across the globe.
