6th Grade Music Practices Time Signature
We had some beautiful weather this week, so 6th grade students in Mrs. Eden’s music class practiced their time signature skills in an unconventional way: outside.
6th Grade Choir is learning about music theory, particularly time signatures like 4/4 or 6/8. As a break from the norm, the class went outside to practice their newfound knowledge by playing Time Signature Tag.
How does it work? Mrs Eden would call a time signature like 4/4 or 6/8 and students would have to know how many beats in each measure that meant. Students would then take that many steps. If the tagger tagged a student, they were out.
The activity was a great way to practice the principles students have been learning in class a different way that was memorable and definitely enjoyable!
