6th graders dove right in to their review session in science class this week. Using Surface tablets and kahoot.it, students competed against one another in a challenging review game. Questions would show up on the screen and students would answer on their devices. Once the time ran out, students could see whether or not they got the question right. The program kept track of student’s progress as well, and would rank the top 5 in the class after each question. Students could also see on their device if they moved up ahead of another after each question.

Students did this to take a fresh approach to reviewing for their test of Earth’s structure, including tectonic plates, and the various layers of the earth.
