8^th Humanities students recently stepped into the shoes of one of the American inventors of the 19^th century.  After selecting an invention in a random drawing, students researched to find reasons and procedures followed for inventions such as the safety pin and mowing machine.   Each student then wrote and performed a monologue assuming the identity of the inventor.  Afterwards, the inventors used a visual aid to help sell their invention to their peers.
