Students in Mrs Wallace’s sixth grade science simulated the process of strip mining using chocolate chip cookies! Students were given an imaginary coal mining company with a whopping $19 to start up their business! They had to purchase equipment, choose the “land of coal” they could afford and mine it to make money all in hopes if turning a profit!
