APPLYING ALGEBRA AT THE AMERICAN FREEDOM MUSEUM
Ms. Holland’s 7th-grade pre-algebra students adventured to the American Freedom Museum this week in order to explore math through the lens of history.
After a full semester of formulas and equations, students were given the mission of putting their skills to the test. Using numerical information from the different exhibitions, the students had to apply Pythagorean’s Theorem and the Distance Formula to find their solutions.
We love having the opportunity to work on teams and learn in different environments.
The trip was an excellent demonstration of how math can be applied in real-world settings outside of the classroom!
