Art students went to Dallas to visit International artist, Steve Ko, at his studio and gallery. Ko gave a live demonstration of an oil painting from a model and talked about the painting process when using oil. Ko shared many personal experiences about his work ethic as well as the rigor and discipline it takes to be a successful artist. Ko is also a committed christian, and shared with our students about the relationship of faith and art! Ko sees each student as an opportunity to witness and show the students many many oil paintings that he had in the studio. Ko also took the time to advise and answer questions that the students had about portfolio preparation for college. Ko is a very committed Christian and while he was teaching about art, he was able to share a great deal of Biblical truth with the students.
