Take the challenge and join us for the first ever Brook Hill fun run! Walkers and runners of all ages are invited to join us as the 3.1-mile route navigates through the beautiful campus of The Brook Hill School.
Following the race hang around for our post run party and much more!
8:30 a.m. – Kids Dash – 12 & Under
Ages 9-12 – 100-yard dash
Ages 6-8 – 50-yard dash
Ages 3-5 – 25-yard dash
The Dash will be broken down into age groups. Children between the ages of 3 and 12 years of age are eligible to participate in the Kids’ Dash. Parents for the younger children will be allowed to “dash” with their child.
If your child is between the ages of 3 and 12 and would also like to participate in the 5K, they may do so at no extra charge. Please note, if they would like a time in the 5K, they will need to ask for a 5K bib when picking up their race packet.
Kids Dash participants can run the 5K for free, however, if you want your child to have chip timing for the 5K, you must register them for both the Kids Dash and the 5K. Child registrations, ages 12 and under, will be $15
9 a.m. 5k (3.1 mi) – All ages
$25 – Early Bird (through 2/28/17)
$30 – Regular (3/1/17 through 4/4/17)
$35 – Late (4/5/17 through 4/21/17)
$40 – RACE DAY (4/22/17)

ORANGE RUSH FAMILY FUN RUN FAQ
Q: How do I register for the Orange Rush Family Fun Run?
A: Click here to register online for the 5k race and Kids’ Race.
Q: What time should I plan to arrive to the Orange Rush Family Fun Run?
A: Participants should plan to allow plenty of time to get to the race start. The kids’ race begins at 8:30 a.m. and the 5k will start at 9:00 a.m. Athletes should expect to arrive no later than 8:00am to allow for parking, visiting concessions and vendors, and walking to the race start area.

Q: Is there a charge if I choose to be timed?
A: All registered participants will have chip timers attached to their race bib. The charge for chip timing is included in your registration fee.
Q: Is there a runner corral for timed runners?
A: Please line up according to your time and estimated pace per mile. We encourage only the fast runners (5-7 min per mile pace) to line up at the front of the start. Walkers please line up at the back for your own safety.
Q: What is the Kids’ Dash? If I register my child for the Kids’ Dash, do I have to also register them for the 5K?
A: The Kids’ Dash will be a total distance will be 50 – 100 yards depending on the age. Age divisions will be as follows: 10-12, 7-9, 4-6, and 3 & Under
Q: Can I walk the 5K?
A: Yes, we have a lot of walkers. We ask walkers to start at the back of the pack. The race course officially closes at 10:30 a.m., which means walkers have approximately 1.5 hours to complete the 3.1-mile course.
Q: Can I bring my dog?
A: No, dogs are not allowed on the grounds for this event.
Q: Is skating or cycling allowed?
A: As they travel at a higher speed, for the safety of others, rollerblades, roller skates, scooters and bicycles are not allowed.
Q. Is there a place I can leave my jacket, bag, etc.?
A. Gear check is NOT AVAILABLE to event attendees. Participants are encouraged to keep their gear with them at all times.
Q: Where do I pick up my packet?
A: If you register online, your packet will be available at

- April 22 – Race Day Registration
Q: Can someone else pick up my packet?
A: Yes. The person picking up the packet(s) will need the participant’s name.
Q: Can I use my own chip for timing?
A: No. The disposable timing tag will be on your runner bib.
Q: Is there assistance available if I can’t do the whole course?
A: Yes, we have paramedics and police officers patrolling the course. If you need assistance, just ask a volunteer or an officer for help. We also have water stops and restrooms located on the course.
Q: Are baby strollers allowed?
A: Absolutely, we welcome parents with children in strollers to participate in the Orange Rush Run.
Q: Are there concessions available at the race?
A: Water and fruit will be provided for our participants at no charge. Other vendors and sponsors often provide additional refreshments.
Q: What if it rains or snows? Will you still have the race?
A: No matter what the weather, the Orange Rush Fun Run will go on! Any possible weather delays will be communicated via email and on The Brook Hill School Facebook page. Please “like” our Facebook page at www.Facebook.com/brookhillschool for all important announcements.
Q: What happens to the proceeds from the Orange Rush Fun Run?
A: Proceeds from the Orange Rush Fun Run will benefit The Brook Hill Fund.
Q: Where do I park when I get to the Orange Rush Fun Run?
A: Parking will be located in the American Freedom Museum Parking Lot and along the grass towards the front of the entrance.
Participants with strollers should line up at the back of the run/walk pack. Let the runners get up ahead so all may enjoy the course safely. We recommend participants with strollers walk the course, however if you choose to run the course with your stroller, please use extreme caution for the safety of your child and others running around you. We want all kids and participants to complete the course safely.
