Boarding Thanksgiving Feast
From the desk of Shawn Rhoads, Director of Residential Life:
What a fun night! Our Boarding Buddy Families came over for dinner with the Boarding Community this past Wednesday night to meet their boarding student and to share a really great meal together.
What’s a Boarding Buddy? Simply put, these folks are simply family away from family. They do things like remember their boarding student’s birthday, invite them to church, attend their games or performances, pray for them, and a lot of other ways to make our boarding students feel loved and welcomed. We had turkey and ham, casserole and salad, and great desserts. But the best part of the evening was just spending good time together.
Thank you to all our Boarding Buddy families for opening their arms and their homes to our kids. You can’t know how much it means to us, to them and to the Kingdom. Have a great Thanksgiving!
