Back in 1977 (while I was in college), there was a well-known tune on the radio performed by John Paul Young.  He sang

“Love is in the air, everywhere I look around.

Love is in the air, every sight and every sound.”

Google it. You’ll be glad you did.

And speaking of “love in the air,” it’s time for the annual Brook Hill Fine Arts Valentine’s Day Candy Gram Sale. SOFA will make it easy for you to give a neat gift to that special someone that you want to be your Valentine. It might be a friend, a “sweetie,” or a special teacher that has really helped you. Each candy-gram includes a Hershey chocolate bar and a bag of Skittles sealed in plastic wrap with your handwritten message on a vintage card.

You can buy your candy-gram in the foyer outside the Commons at the following times:

• Wednesday and Thursday mornings, February 10 and 11 between 8:00 and 9:15, and again from 11:45 to 1:45.
• Friday morning, February 12, from 8:00 to 9:15

No pre-ordering. Just pay $5 per Candy-gram (cash or check made to SOFA).
