This week the upper and middle school chapel program hosted Johnny Russell, Young Life director for Tyler.

Johnny spoke about John The Baptist’s relationship with Jesus in John 1 and Mark11. Because John the Baptist knew Jesus, John was willing to die for Jesus. The chapel ended with this video and the question, “Do you know him?”

Last week we hosted Brady Watson, youth pastor from Pleasant Hills Baptist Church.

Brady spoke from Luke 4:42-44 and reminded us that God has a plan for our lives, additionally a busy schedule without a quiet time or time set aside with our Creator can be just as harmful as telling a lie or cheating. We are reminded in 2 Timothy 3:16 that  “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.”  If we set aside time every day to spend time with God, our relationship with Christ will be strengthened.
