Character Analysis in 6th Grade Humanities

6th grade students in Mr. Roquemore’s Humanities class worked in pairs to complete a character analysis for their current novel, “Little Women”. Using evidence from the novel, the students had to describe the attributes of a main character, sketch a relevant item, and find quotations which best exemplify the personality of the character. Activities like these not only encourage collaboration among our students, but also engages their minds in creative thinking, helping them move beyond mere reading.
