Let’s find out more about her journey to Brook Hill and what she thinks is in store for this school year!

Can you describe your journey to becoming the Head Volleyball Coach, Head Girls’ Track Coach, and Girls Athletic Coordinator at Brook Hill? What experiences have led you to this place and how do they impact you daily?

“I played volleyball year round through college where I attended Howard Payne University. my degree was in Business, but marrying into a big coaching family.. I followed suit. My husband and I have been coaching in East Texas and enjoy spending our time pouring into our athletes. We have 2 children, Trent (7) and Taylor (3). It’s not easy both of us being full time coaches, but we love what we do and we love involving our children too.”

What brought you to Brook Hill and to this position specifically?

“Brook Hill has a great reputation. Being in the East Texas area, I have heard of the name, the school, and what this school represents and had imagined what a blessing it would be to work here and have my children go to school here as well. I was not looking to leave my previous position when I came across the opening at Brook Hill, but after talking with staff and community members, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity.”

What are you looking forward to the most for this school year? What are your goals for your position at Brook Hill?

“I’m looking forward to getting to know the students and learning more about the culture here at Brook Hill. My goal this year would be to continue to grow as a coach, to positively impact the athletes that I coach and do so while also growing closer in my own personal relationship with Christ.”

What do you hope for the future of Brook Hill and your students, and how do you think your role contributes to that?

“I hope Brook Hill continues to hold to its high standards in education and innovation in teaching our students life skills. I hope that the students of Brook Hill continue to grow and use the tools they have learned here to represent themselves well.”
