From the desk of Celia Tucker, Academic Counselor:

College Emphasis  Week has been wonderful. Seeing students dressed in college shirts all week;  having Coffee and College Conversations with parents;  spending an evening with Seniors 2017 and their parents eating pizza, discussing the application process, watching parent volunteers play the GPA game, discussing Dual Credit details, and learning the hard facts about the NCAA; watching parents share details about their chosen careers with students who want to pursue that same career path;  and entertaining over 35 college representatives again brought to light that Brook Hill students are thinking about and preparing for post-secondary education on a daily basis. We were reminded again that applying for college is a process and knowing what colleges expect and planning for it can definitely make the senior year a little less stressful.
