Constitution Day

Michael Morton was wrongfully imprisoned for 25 years. His wife was murdered; he lost his son;  the legal system failed him. Although he could have given all the glory to his appellate legal team and the rise in the use of DNA evidence, fourteen Brook Hill students heard Morton proclaim that an encounter with God and forgiveness softened his heart and made him the man he is today. This remarkable learning experience took place at the Smith County Bar Foundation’s celebration of Constitution Day on Wednesday as students had the chance to get our of the classroom and learn through experience!
