HEAR FROM OUR PEOPLE
The Brook Hill School has been providing Christ-centered, college prepartory education for students Pre-K through 12th grade for over 25 years. Brook Hill’s mission is to provide excellence in college preparatory education, affirm the gifts and challenge the potential of each student, and encourage students to honor God through Christ-like character. “We see our kids growing into the humans they were created to be– from the beginning, they have been encouraged to explore their individual gifts (my three kids are so different from one another!) and gain confidence to express them. They make eye contact, shake hands, and have conversations with people. My children are seen as valuable images of God at Brook Hill, and that means the world as to how they go about each and every day.“
FAVORITE BROOK HILL MEMORY
“Being a part of Brook Hill as a student, myself, and now sharing in these experiences with my kids, all the while having watched Brook Hill grow with the utmost intention has been the sweetest experience.” – Jenna

“The decision on where to send our children to school was hard for us and something we put a lot of prayer and thought into. We love the smaller size of Brook Hill so that our kids didn’t just feel like a number but actually had relationships with faculty and staff and were known by name. We love the Christ centered education because we know our kids are learning truth as well as being challenged to strengthen their God-given talents in all shapes and forms. We also love the tight knit community that creates a familylike atmosphere. We really felt like God led us to Brook Hill and we are so glad He did. There will always be ups and downs no matter where your kids go to school, but the important part is to have a strong support system. Brook Hill has proven to be that system for our kids. It’s comforting to know we have a team of people who walk daily with our kids and nothing can replace that.”

“Being at Brook Hill has changed my life. My faith is only getting stronger thanks to my time not only as a student, but as a faculty member as well. Being at a place where the sole focus is Jesus, is a breath of fresh air. It is something I hope I never take for granted. This is the first job I can honestly say, I get to work here!”
FAVORITE BROOK HILL MEMORY
“My peak memory is coming back from paternity leave and seeing my students again and them telling me how much they missed me. Relationships with students matter. I always say creating relationships should be the most important thing a teacher does because once a relationship is established, that student will want to work hard for you. But, most importantly, establishing a relationship encourages Christ-focused conversation that could change a student’s life forever.“

“My faith has gone from from 10% to 100%. When I first arrived at Brook Hill, I was still trying to figure out my faith. I thought there was no God, but God found me on senior trip through everyone’s talks and I let him take control of my life. Ever since getting baptized, I have tried to read my bible frequently and take verses to think about throughout the day. I couldn’t be more grateful for this community and how everyone is here only to help each other.”

“Coach Harrison was the one who led me to Christ. When he opened up about his experiences from the past, it really gave me clarity. He was also the one who baptized me on my senior trip.”

“We toured several schools before finding BH and knew it was special right away. It’s hard to find a Christian school that fosters spiritual maturity while excelling in academics and sports, but BH does exactly that. After one shadow day, our high schoolers were convinced this was their new home. BH provides different academic tracks—standard, honors, and AP—so students are challenged appropriately. The “WIN” (Whatever I Need) period encourages them to seek help openly, and teachers and administrators wholeheartedly prepare students to be loving, responsible, and capable.”

“Since day one, we had the honor to be part of the boarding community as local supporters. It was inspiring to see house parents pouring themselves into students, and even the visiting parents, helping them become their best, in character and relationship building. “

“I’ve seen myself grow in tremendous ways on the court, I’m way more confident! I walk on the court every game knowing I’m one of the best and I have the skill to prove it. Some might even say I’m too cocky. But something I’ve grown way more into is myself I don’t define myself because of Basketball and I’m grateful that I’m talented in the sport but being at Brook Hill has led me to grow into myself and just be who I am.”
How did it feel to be named the Ford Female Athlete of the Month?
“My reaction was shock! Beforehand I didn’t even know Ford Female Athlete of the Month was a thing and how much of big deal it is! I’ve considered myself very blessed to receive such a high honor.”

“The best part about being a boarding student at Brook Hill is honestly just the people. You meet friends from all over the world, and it’s so much fun. One time, the power went out, and all the girls piled downstairs, playing Uno in the dark and laughing at everything. Then, we all prayed together, which was super sweet. After that, my suite had a random sleepover, and we stayed up way too late talking about literally nothing, but it was the best night ever.”
WHICH TEACHER HAS IMPACTED YOU THE MOST SO FAR?
“Mrs. Serrano and Mrs. Almond have definitely impacted me the most because they’ve helped me grow so much emotionally and spiritually. They’re always there to listen, give advice, and remind me to keep my eyes on God, even when life feels kind of crazy.”

“Brook Hill stands apart by truly seeing each student as an individual and meeting them where they are at. The staff are not only checking academic markers, but genuinely considering the student as a whole – character development, social skills, and spiritual growth. It is so comforting as a mom to know that our school stewards each student so intentionally!”

“Community Helper Day is one of my favorite events at the Lower School every year! Not only are the kids just starry-eyed by all of the departments that come out to visit, but Brook Hill provides lunch for all of the volunteers that are dedicating their time to teach our kids. I love that they take an ordinary event and use it to bless others!”
