This week, second graders learned about elections and campaigns with the book Duck for President by Doreen Cronin. Students learned about campaigning and election process, while also learning the value and importance of voting in a democratic society. During the week, students campaigned for their candidate (either Duck or Farmer Brown), making signs and buttons. As a culmination, students cast their votes for their candidate of choice! When all the results were in, students found out that Duck won!
