Master Gardeners, Jamie Jenson, and Jud Morrison, from The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, visited kindergarten through third grade students to present information about ways we can take better care of our earth by reducing, recycling, and making compost. Students learned which items could be recycled and which items would make good ingredients for composting. Students examined compost and got a good look at some big fat juicy worms. They also learned about other creatures including microorganisms that help break down organic materials.
