“The decision on where to send our children to school was hard for us and something we put a lot of prayer and thought into. We love the smaller size of Brook Hill so that our kids didn’t just feel like a number but actually had relationships with faculty and staff and were known by name. We love the Christ centered education because we know our kids are learning truth as well as being challenged to strengthen their God-given talents in all shapes and forms. We also love the tight knit community that creates a familylike atmosphere. We really felt like God led us to Brook Hill and we are so glad He did. There will always be ups and downs no matter where your kids go to school, but the important part is to have a strong support system. Brook Hill has proven to be that system for our kids. It’s comforting to know we have a team of people who walk daily with our kids and nothing can replace that.”

“Friday Night Lights! We get to gather as a school to not only cheer on the football players, but we get to hang out as a Brook Hill family. We love that Brook Hill has paired the upper school players and cheerleaders with the lower school kids and that they get together each week. It’s so precious to us that these older kids are pouring into our young children each week and in turn our kids get to cheer on those they look up to on Friday night. We love that Brook Hill intentionally strives to bring the two campuses together through these programs. Seeing the entire school come together on Friday nights is special and something our whole family looks forward to.”

“We chose Brook Hill mainly because our son wanted to play American Football! When searching for a boarding school, we liked the location of Brook Hill and the weather conditions of this area. We noticed that Brook Hill had a great academic program and instills important Christian values that we care about. We also looked at a lot of videos on YouTube when doing our research to get to know Brook Hill better, and we liked what we saw! Getting the opportunity to talk 1-on-1 with Hope, from the admissions team, and with Coach Ryle during the admissions process was super valuable to us. They gave us all the information we needed and we were able to get to know them on a personal level.”

“Although we lived in Frisco, Texas, we heard so many good things about Brook Hill. When we were looking for some property in East Texas, we had no intentions of moving here permanently. Through a series of events, we checked out Brook Hill for our youngest son. As we met the wonderful admission staff and were able to learn all about Brook Hill, and what it has to offer, we knew it was the right move for our boys! We specifically moved here just for the school and it has been a wonderful experience. We chose Brook Hill because of the diversity it has to offer between the students and the activities. We had no idea what an amazing school we had found until we actually got here! I would tell a family looking at Brook Hill that the only thing we wished we would have done differently is gotten here several years sooner! Brook Hill is a hidden gem and we feel so blessed to have found it.”

“Shortly after school had started in August, there was a patriotic tailgate and football game where veterans in the local community were honored, and the Cannon was shot. What an incredible experience!”

“Our family chose Brook Hill for multiple reasons. One of the biggest reasons was the Christ-centered atmosphere we could feel immediately when we toured. It was immensely important to us to find a school that not only challenged our children academically, but also a school that held the same values as we do. I tell any families interested in Brook Hill that this was the easiest choice we’ve made as a family for education for our three children. The amount of opportunities, compassion, love and dedication is truly unmatched. We love our Brook Hill family!”

“My favorite memory thus far would have to be the county fair. My youngest, Denver, wasn’t a student yet at Brook Hill when we went for my oldest, Kason’s, 3rd grade county fair and somehow, someway, Denver left with a bunny from the petting zoo. We had a blast that day!”

“We knew we needed to find a place that encouraged our kids to not just pursue education for the sake of education, but to encourage them to find and pursue their own God given gifts and talents with a broader worldview in mind. We love that Brook Hill teaches kids that they have a voice and a purpose, and to have that centered around a Christian Worldview is something that we were certain we wanted for our family. We were so thankful we took the leap and shadowed for a day. It ended up being everything and more than we imagined it could be. Being able to see our kids immersed in BH culture sold us, and we are grateful every day to be All Orange!”

“All things football! We LOVE our Guard Football Family. Watching our youngest in Lower School cheer, seeing our former Guard Dog grow into a middle school player, and watching our oldest on Varsity host his own Guard Dog, has been such a blessing! We love the Ryled Up tailgates and connecting with other families. And Coach Schlueter loves being on the sidelines with the O-line, of course!”

“Our decision for Matthew to come to Brook Hill for boarding school in ninth grade was driven by the need for a safe environment where he could establish his personal values. We valued Brook Hill’s potential to help him become a global citizen through unique experiences, diverse curriculum, and club participation. Despite considering East Coast options, we chose Brook Hill in Texas for its well-rounded approach. The unique combination of day and boarding school at Brook Hill allowed students to form global friendships and immerse themselves in American culture. Matthew has thrived at Brook Hill and when it came time to consider transferring Jay, our youngest daughter, to BH, Matthew expressed how he hoped Jay could experience and learn what he had at Brook Hill. Now more than ever, we are confident that The Brook Hill School was a gift from the Lord to our family.“

“One memory that stands out to me happened through a phone call before one of Matthew’s 11th-grade AP exams. I realized then that even though studying hard is important, I had missed something even more crucial – the importance of our relationship with the Lord. Matthew wondered why we hadn’t discussed the spiritual side of life more. Feeling embarrassed, I admitted I should have talked more about our religious beliefs. Surprisingly, he had similar thoughts, questioning the value of solely focusing on studies and achievements. Our conversation and his Bible study revealed that Matthew had embraced Christianity for the first time. I realized that living a life centered on faith was the most important thing, and I was grateful that Matthew realized this as well and had discovered this at Brook Hill. During his senior year, Matthew has had his sights on Rice University, and despite our nervousness, he remained calm, trusting in God’s plan. His independence and growth in faith were evident. Thankfully, he was accepted into Rice, a significant victory for us all. I believe that through his time at Brook Hill and the development of his faith and relationship with the Lord, Matthew is on track to fulfill whatever plans He has for him. I’m thankful to Brook Hill for being a significant part of our lives.”

“We chose Brook Hill because of the positive environment and the Christ-centered education that would be incorporated into every aspect of our children’s lives. Our children came to Brook Hill during high school and middle school. We wanted a place that would come along side us as parents to help guide and support them in these formative years. We would tell a prospective family interested in Brook Hill to definitely bring your kids on campus for a Shadow Day! This is a great opportunity for your child to experience a day at Brook Hill with the students, teachers, coaches and administrators. Brook Hill has been one of the best decisions we made for our family!”

“We first discovered Brook Hill because we had close family friends whose kids were going here. They invited us to come tour the school and visit Chapel one day. At our visit, I immediately knew that we wanted to be a part of the Brook Hill family! Our daughter started Pre-K the next year and her brother two years later. We are thankful for our friends who introduced us to the school and are beyond grateful for all that Brook Hill has to offer our kids! You will never regret becoming a part of Brook Hill. Knowing your kids are being educated and being loved by all the staff, while learning more about Jesus is such a comfort as a parent.”

“We chose Brook Hill because of the Christ-centered values that the BH community could offer our children. The Brook Hill School offers a wonderful platform for children to grow academically and spiritually. The teachers are focused on developing the whole child, ensuring that they are given the opportunity to grow and develop into model citizens.”

“School takes up so many hours of a child’s day, and as a family transitioning from homeschooling, surrendering those cherished hours together posed a challenge for us. We chose Brook Hill because we believed they would make those hours count by instilling positive values, nurturing academic growth, and providing opportunities for our children to flourish socially and spiritually. Academic decisions can feel so weighty to a parent’s heart but God loves your child more than you do and He can lead you to the right choice.”

“Our favorite memory was our first home football game. We sat on the lawn with friends, as our son played catch on the sidelines with his buddies and our daughters watched the game with new friends. It was a moment that beautifully captured how quickly our whole famliy had found a place to belong.”

“We began our search for a community and school that we could trust to join us in preparing our children for their futures and to walk into the world as individuals of strong discernment. A top priority for us was to find a school that would confidently lead from a biblical worldview. We also sought out academics structured around classical education and nurturing critical thinking skills. Through months of research, Brook Hill steadily showed up. Our children love to create friendships and compete through athletics so we also placed value in a strong athletics program that would not only develop for competition but would emphasize the importance of lifting each other up as a team. The boarding program on campus brought a special opportunity to engage daily with peers from so many different cultures and experiences to learn from and to connect with. We did not have moving to East Texas on our radar, but God did, and before we knew it, we were walking the campus on a quiet December day and realizing that what we had been dreaming up for our family had been found.”

“When we reflect upon the memories that stand out the most over the last couple of years, our minds are flooded with day-to-day examples of all the amazing people, staff and other Brook Hill families, who offer discipleship to our children. No matter where our children step on campus – from the administration offices to the classroom to athletics to The Guard Shop – there is an adult encouraging and guiding in love and with high expectations of upholding character. For us as parents, the best memories are witnessing our children reach for a new level of individual growth and potential in relationships, academics, and faith that such an intentional environment cultivates. God’s hand is evident in all of it and I’m certain that the long-lasting memory will be the peace and gratitude that has come with joining the Brook Hill family.”

“We loved the environment of Brook Hill when we first took a campus tour. Every child and teacher seemed so happy to be at school, and the students fully engaged in learning in every single room we entered. They were even happy walking down the hallway! It felt like my Elementary school growing up and felt like home for our family. Following our tour, we attended Chapel and the rest was history! Seeing that gym filled with sweet Pre-K to 5th grade students speaking publicly (and very comfortably) and praising Jesus was just the best. Brook Hill is such an amazing school and community. Every teacher LOVES their students and will do anything to help them succeed. They strive for the students to be well rounded and not just focused on one aspect of life as a student. You will love the Christian environment, academic growth in your children, fine arts opportunities, friendships and school events. “
