Mr. Tony Welty, Director of Finance & Operations at The Brook Hill School and Ms. Claire Mizell, Program Coordinator, The University of Texas at Austin, Office of Admissions, East Texas Admissions Center, talked with seniors recently about financial literacy and the importance of pursuing scholarship and financial aid opportunities for college. The two guests also talked about their lives and how they got to where they are today. They explained that many times there are twists and turns in life but that staying focused and relying on God’s guidance will have you end up exactly where you need to be. After Senior Seminar one student said, “I never knew that Mr. Welty was such a cool dude until I heard him speak in class today.” It’s true—Ms. Mizell and Mr. Welty are “cool dudes”.
