Last week we wrote about how our first graders showed their big hearts when they collected toys for the Pauline Allen Gill Outpatient Unit at Children’s Medical Center. This center treats over 100 children patients daily. After completing a procedure, children receive a toy or prize as a way to comfort the young patients. We also wanted to share some pictures of Jett and some of his friends at the hospital so you could see the closet for toys. Mrs. Smith’s class collected many toys which were carried by Jett and his special friends to the Center. Our hearts and prayers travel with Jett and his family. First grade hearts have grown bigger this year as they show their love for Jett and the other young patients through their gifts.
