First grade Spanish students enjoy the story “Yo Voy a Tejas”, “I’m Going to Texas”.  Students read this book in honor of  western day in their regular classroom. The story tells of a little cowboy who wants to travel around Texas and experience all that it has to offer.  In special boxes on each page, facts about tourist attractions in Texas are revealed.
