Mrs. Utz met with Ms. Cameron this week to ask for some ideas on how she could teach her Spanish 1 class on Friday while she was absent from school! The two put their heads together and had Mrs. Utz record a video of herself teaching an oral story in Spanish on a Surface tablet using the camera app. Then they uploaded the video to Brook Hill’s Teacher YouTube channel and embedded it into her online Moodle course. Now her substitute teacher can simply click and play the video for the class using the classroom computer. Mrs. Utz used virtual reality teaching so her students are not missing any instructional time while she is physically absent from the classroom. Students can also watch the video again from home for extra reinforcement by logging into Moodle or visiting the BHTeachers YouTube!
