It may be the first full week of school, but our chemistry students are already in the lab!

One of the first thing all chemistry students do is learn about safety and practice a few basic lab skills. Mr. Bunger’s and Ms. Adams’ classes watched a safety video, went into the lab to discuss location of safety equipment and emergency procedures,  went over a lengthy safety contract, and took a safety quiz in order to make sure they are as safe as possible when they are doing chemistry labs this year.  After that, the classes went into the lab to learn how to use a Bunsen burner and a triple-beam balance.  Getting a great flame on a Bunsen burner is not as easy as it looks!
