Making Valentine’s Cards in Art
PK through 5th graders all had the opportunity to make a Valentine’s Day card for KVNE’s yearly Valentine Card Drive. Employees of the radio station hand out homemade cards to people in hospitals and assisted living homes located throughout the listening area. Each child decorated at least one card to give away. Some wrote a special message to the recipient. Most cards have the Brook Hill shield with the words “May God’s love protect and fill your heart” on it glued to a big red or pink heart. We glued John 3:16 on the cards too! Kids were busy all week using stickers, yarn, hole punchers, and markers to complete the cards. Now all that is left to do is to deliver them to KVNE!
