As many of you know, middle school and high school have separate chapels this year, which is exciting for a number of reasons! One reason in particular is the opportunity to have special chapels like we did this week.

During chapel students were lead by Mr. Rogers, MS Bible teacher, in a discussion and sharing session about middle school retreat. Students shared with one another fun things like their favorite memories, but more importantly, students shared how they were encouraged in their walk with Christ through the trip.

One theme that kept popping up from our students was that of speaking true and encouraging words to one another. Rather than spreading gossip, or saying mean things to one another, students felt convicted that they should say kind things to and about one another – even when that person isn’t present. What a cool thing for our students to be learning, and what an awesome atmosphere to get to have conversations like this in!
