Introducing Brook Hill’s New Director of Security & Campus Safety

We are excited to introduce our new Director of Security and Campus Safety, Mr. Bobby Herrington. With an impressive background and a strong commitment to the safety of our community, Bobby brings a wealth of experience to his new role at Brook Hill.

Bobby’s journey is rooted in service to his country and local community. A native of Tyler, he met his wife, Jill, during his time in the military. After serving in the US Army Airborne Infantry, Bobby returned to East Texas to further his education by becoming a first responder, serving 10 years on paramedic and ambulance teams. For four years, he served as an instructor in the TJC paramedic program to help equip the next generation.

Over the last 10 years, Bobby has served on staff with Marvin Methodist Church as the Director of Operations and Safety. As a licensed Level IV Security Officer for the state of Texas, Bobby takes the safety of our students very seriously.

Beyond his professional commitments, Bobby enjoys spending time with his wife of 32 years, three children, and four grandchildren. An active member of the community, he has coached baseball and basketball and is eager to cheer on our Guard teams. Bobby is also deeply passionate about mentoring young people and is thrilled to serve on a campus where the Lord is glorified daily.

Bobby recognizes that God is the ultimate protector of the Brook Hill campus, and he has chosen Psalm 18:2 as a daily prayer for the safety of our students:

“The Lord is my protector; He is my strong fortress. My God is my protection, and with Him, I am safe. He protects me like a shield; He defends me and keeps me safe.”

In Bobby’s own words, “I thank God for giving me the opportunity to become a member of the Brook Hill family.” Let us extend a warm welcome to Bobby Herrington, our new Director of Security and Campus Safety, as he embarks on this journey with us.
